Facility

Are towels provided?
No, you must bring your own towel or we have them available for purchase in the Swim Store.

Programming

Do I have to be a Life Time member?
Participation is open to both Life Time members and non-members. You do not need to be a member to join.

If I am enrolled in the Swim school, can I access Life Time clubs?
Life Time club memberships are separate from our Life Time Swim Maple Grove aquatics facility. You must be a Life Time member to access the athletic club locations.

Can I make changes to my Life Time membership while I am at Life Time Swim Maple Grove?
No, you will need to visit a Life Time Athletic location.

What if I would like to switch to another Life Time Swim program at an athletic club location?
You will need to be a Life Time member in order to switch. If you are able to transfer, you will submit your cancellation notice 30 days or more in advance of your desired end date at Life Time Swim Maple Grove and reach out to the Life Time Athletic club location where you would like to sign up for swim programming. You may also visit our front desk for assistance.

What should I bring to my lessons?
All swimmers need to bring a swimsuit and towel. Goggles and a swim cap are recommended. If your child is under age 3, you will need to accompany them in the pool. Pack swimsuits and towels for both of you. If your child isn’t potty-trained, they must wear a swim diaper and tight-fitting rubber pants under the swimsuit. Goggles are recommended for children ages 3 and up.

Where do I go for my lessons?
Meet the supervisor on the pool deck. The supervisor will confirm your instructor’s name and direct you and your child to wait by the tablet with your instructor's name. Your child's instructor will meet you there and take your child to the begin the lesson. Once your child has met up with the instructor, you may go to the comfortable viewing area until the class is finished.

Where should I go while my child is at lessons?
We offer a classroom setting for our lessons and see the best progress when children are focused without distraction. Parents are encouraged to wait and observe from the viewing area until their child's lesson is complete.

What happens if we miss a group swim lesson?
We offer Missed Lesson Tokens when you miss a Group Swim lesson. Your child may accumulate up to one missed lesson per month. Exceptions include having a doctor's note or in extreme weather conditions, where you may accumulate more than one Missed Lesson Credit per month. After 3 missed lessons, we issue a token into your account, and you have 1 year to redeem it for a private lesson or Swim Clinic (ages 5 and older). We are tracking attendance, so you do not need to inform us if you miss a class unless you have a doctor's note and need an additional token added to your account.

What if my child won't get in the water?
One of our highly trained instructors will work with your child to help them feel comfortable getting into the water.

How does the continuous program work?
When your child is ready to progress to the next level, your instructor will continue to work with your child on their current lesson day and time. While their learning continues, you keep the same schedule that already works for your family until you decide to switch or submit a 30-day cancellation notice.
